History Is Alive in Marion, Alabama!

Foreword

Lincolnites:

It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Ritten Edward Lee, Edythe Scott Bagley, and all other alumni who have provided information for this directory - The Lincoln School Alumni Directory. It is more than a list of names, addresses, and facts. It is a resource of information to help us maintain the meaningful ties we have with our fellow classmates, alumni, and friends of Lincoln School.

Through the years, we have dedicated ourselves, individually and through Chapter participation to the promotion and advancement of programs important to us, and thereby continued the legacy of "Dear Ol' Lincoln School." Our future support is dependent upon our knowing who we are and where we are.

As we have reclaimed the Lincoln School property, let us push up our sleeves, open our pocketbooks and restore some physical facilities, add some new areas and move into the 21st century with enthusiasm, gratitude, and dedication as we reach to expand our service base.

I trust we will renew acquaintances (with the help of the directory), restore friendships, and continue an even stronger allegiance to our Alma Mater - Lincoln School.

  With all good wishes!

  Editor's Notes

Edythe Scott Bagley, class of '43, could not prepare a statement at the time of this directory's publication. On the other hand, I know that she considers The Lincoln School Alumni Directory to be a document of considerable importance - the first document of its sort to be published about our Lincoln School. While she regrets that many alumni names are not included here (we could not continue to hold off the completion of the project,) a beginning has been made that will help many to know who we are. She feels that there may be a need for a second edition sometime in the future which will surely be even richer with more information about Lincolnites.
